Honoring Our Veterans Today

We here are all very proud to be American and extremely grateful to the courageous men and women who have fought for our freedoms throughout the decades and continue to fight for our freedoms today.

Today, do something to honor the veterans who have fought and died for you and your loved ones.

The unfortunately reality is that in this country today, many veterans and active servicemembers are struggling with home ownership for themselves and/or their families. Thankfully, the government has put some programs in place to help our nation’s heroes protect their loved ones by keeping a roof over their heads.

Here are just a few of the programs in place for veterans and active servicemembers:

1. The Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act (SSCRA) came about to assist servicemembers on active duty or long-term deployments with housing issues such as eviction, foreclosure, payments increases and more. The program offers eligible men and women reduced mortgage rates, protection from eviction and foreclosure, early lease termination when necessary, and more.
2. The VA Home Loan Program is a unique home financing program specifically for veterans as well as active military and naval servicemembers. Perks include lower interest rates, flexible credit requirements, options for low or zero down payments, and more.
3. VA Home Loan Guaranties are available for veterans, eligible servicemembers, surviving spouses, and reservists. In addition to helping qualified individuals purchase homes, they may also be used for home improvements, refinancing, and certain energy-efficient upgrades.
