More Employment Good News for Charlotte NC!

Bev Perdue, Govenor of North Carolina made yet another big employment announcement yesterday. Just last week, Perdue happily announced that the Swedish appliance company, Electrolux, was moving their American headquarters to Charlotte, NC. The company will be bringing over 700 jobs with them and is the largest headquarters relocation in Charlotte in the past 25 years (for more details, please read Electrolux American Headquarters Chooses Charlotte, NC ).
1002 new Jobs for Charlotte, NC
In a press conference held at Zenta Mortgage Services in southwest Charlotte, Henry Hortenstine, CEO of Zenta, announced that the company will add 1,002 Charlotte jobs to its workforce over the next five years.
Zenta has maintained an office in Charlotte since 2002, providing outsourcing services to lenders, consumer lending services, credit card servicing as well as other services in the financial and real estate industries.
The company has approximately 5,000 employees in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, London and other locations overseas including India and the Philippines.
According to David Jones, Senior Vice President of Zenta, 350 of their employees are located in the U.S. and collaborate with colleagues overseas, depending on the needs of their clients – mostly large banks.
Charlotte Benefits from Zenta’s Expansion
The company is expanding as a result of growing demand from their clients says Hortenstine. “After turbulent times in the financial services industry, we’ve just seen the dam break” he says. 
Zenta expects to hire 250 people in the first year and has already started the recruiting process for positions with an average annual salary of $47,980. “We’re here because of the workforce,” says Hortenstine. The company says the jobs will be new hires and not transfers from other Zenta office locations.
